The performance is supposedly good but I have not tried it. There is always AstroPad for Mac that can mirror a portion or the full screen (I think) to an iPad and accept styli input on the iPad and send it back to the Mac. I’ll have to try it myself before selling my third kidney (we have those, right?). I know I am pretty excited about the iPad Pro, especially after reading some of the early impressions about the lag, or rather lack of, when using the Apple Pencil. I just don’t see it happening right now, at least not to the high level of sculpting capabilities that some people would like. That is with an install base of a couple hundred million tablets, now imagine developing mainly for the iPad Pro with an install base of zero. The price tag would be too high for most users and the investment would be to large for a very uncertain return. You can get it free for 1 year with an.edu email. Fingers to move the camera and zoom, open for selecting and changing nodes/faces/etc. Switching between your fingers and your apple pencil is amazing. But their app is like the procreate of modeling apps, its so trim and intuitive and slick. There is a reason you do not see super complex apps on iOS or Android. They seem to market solely to industrial cad modeling. If Pixologic were ever to release anything on iOS I would expect it to be somewhere between Sculptris and ZBrush in capability.

So my question is do you have any tips on how I could improve my skill? Is there a way to kind to “sketch” before hopping into a sphere? Is there anything noticeable from my work that is a red flag for what I shouldn’t do? My goals for 3D are mostly to just make attractive faces and busts of characters/my characters I mostly watch youtubers who work with blender or zbrush or a combination of those programs but my iPad is what I have currently since my only computer is a 2013 MacBook Pro 13” (i7 3.3GHz, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, intel 4000 graphics)

What kind of tips could people give me on this subject? It feels like I’m at a disadvantage doing 3D coming from a 2D background, since some people I know who do 3D don’t do 2D or don’t draw at a (for lack of a better word) decent level think stick figures or what some would draw at elementary or middle school.
